Witch
The village's most informed — and most armed — role. Every night, you see who the werewolves attacked. On top of that you hold two one-time potions: one revive and one poison.
At a Glance
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Faction | Village |
| Win condition | Eliminate every werewolf, with no third faction (such as the Fox) left alive |
| Every night | See the werewolves' attack target (costs nothing) |
| Revive | Once per game — save that night's attack victim |
| Poison | Once per game — kill a player of your choice |
| Timing | Late in the night, after the attack, guard, and divination have resolved |
| Divination result | 'Not' (not a werewolf) |
The revive: spent the moment you try
The revive is consumed on the attempt. A fizzle does not refund it.
| Situation | Result |
|---|---|
| There was no attack victim that night (five ways — below) | Fizzles — potion spent |
| You tried to revive yourself | Fizzles — potion spent |
| You picked someone other than that night's victim | Fizzles — potion spent |
| You revived that night's actual victim | ✅ Success — the death is undone |
"No victim tonight" happens in five ways, and every one of them costs you the potion:
| Situation | Why there's no victim |
|---|---|
| No attack was made | — |
| The wolves split their votes — a failed attack | The attack never landed |
| The Knight guarded the target | The attack landed but nobody died |
| The wolves bit the Fox | The Fox doesn't die to the bite |
| The Trapper's trap fired | The trap cancels the death (and kills the wolf) |
∴ The revive isn't "choose who to save" — it's "save tonight's victim, or don't". You see the attack target every night, so the information is in your hands.
The poison: pierces guards, kills even the Fox
The poison kills whoever you pick. The Knight's guard cannot stop it. And the Fox dies to poison — the bite is the only thing a Fox shrugs off.
Strategy & Tips
When to spend each potion — and how to exploit that saves and failed attacks look identical from the outside — is covered in the strategy column.
