The 13-Player Classic Deck — Roles and Rules
MAFIA's largest standard deck: 13 players. "Classic" here is the community's name for the time-tested big-table lineup.
The lineup
| Role | Count | Faction |
|---|---|---|
| Villager | 6 | Village |
| Knight | 1 | Village |
| Seer | 1 | Village |
| Medium | 1 | Village |
| Madman | 1 | Werewolf |
| Werewolf | 3 | Werewolf |
13 players total (village 9 : werewolf faction 4).
This table's protagonist is the debate
What separates it decisively from small tables: six plain villagers.
Power-role information alone cannot process 13 people. A Seer checking one player a night will never cover the table before the game ends. ∴ This deck's outcome rides on how much the six unpowered seats contribute in reads and speech.
The unchecked majority — the grey pool — dominates the table, so the early executions come out of the grey. Whom to suspect, whom to spare — speech volume, content, vote movement: information that owes nothing to abilities is the main battlefield.
Three wolves, moving as one
The werewolves are three. A trio that talks every night can swing early votes just by voting together. From the village side, correlations surfacing in the vote patterns are one of the biggest wolf-hunting leads.
And one Madman. The Madman doesn't know who the wolves are — but fake Seer claims and off-key steering muddy the table as a fourth member of the wolf faction all the same.
The standard lines for the power roles
- The Seer checks nightly and times the claim.
- The Medium learns each executed player's result that night — the judge whenever counterclaims collide.
- The Knight guards the power roles as the base line — while keeping where the guard sits unreadable, which matters just as much.
More players, more information per day: a properly long game per match. For a table of first-timers, start at the 7-Player Beginner Deck instead.
How to pick it
In the room-creation settings, open 'Choose Deck Preset' and pick '13P Classic Room'. Capacity derives from the role total automatically (13), and the game starts when the room is full.
