Mafia
A hidden add-on layered on top of a base role. Once per game, at any moment — day or night — you can assassinate one player on the spot.

An overlay, not a seat
The Mafia takes no slot in the deck. At a 7-player table, all 7 base roles are dealt — and one of those players quietly carries the Mafia's power on top.
- Appearance, divination results, and win condition all stay exactly those of the base role.
- Who carries it is never disclosed. Until the shot is fired, nobody has any way to know it's you.
This role bears the series' name — MAFIA's own signature trump card.
When to fire the one shot
The assassination fires in any phase, and the target dies instantly. Timing is everything.
- Flip a board where a confirmed wolf can't be voted out — with one shot.
- Remove someone mid-discussion — it works as an execution that never goes to a vote.
- The kill is announced only as "assassinated — by someone". The shooter is never named, but "this table has a Mafia, and the trump card is now spent" becomes public knowledge.
The shot serves your base role's faction. Fired at an enemy it's a trump card; fired at a teammate it's just self-destruction.
In the standard decks
No standard deck includes the Mafia — it's a room-settings option any table can switch on. Whose seat it sleeps in — and what kinds of seats can receive it — nobody knows until it fires.
Coming from Mafia-style games and looking for the Godfather? MAFIA has no wolf leader — the wolves pick their target together — and this add-on is a different thing entirely (the glossary's comparison table has the full mapping).
